Day 1 – Springfield, OH to Williamsburg, VA
Your journey begins as you travel by private coach to Williamsburg, VA and check into the luxurious Embassy Suites for a 2-night stay. Your two-room suite features separate living area, wet bar with refrigerator and microwave, two TVs and European bedding. Upon arrival, we will have time to relax and enjoy the Manager’s Reception before departing for a “Welcome-to-the-tour” dinner. (D)
Day 2 – Williamsburg Highlights
Start your day off with a cooked-to-order breakfast before departing for your Patriot’s Guided Tour of beautiful Colonial Williamsburg including the Governor’s Palace and the Capitol. You will have ample time to admire the miles of fresh pines strung on lampposts, browse the unique stores and sample a freshly baked strudel amidst holiday carolers. This evening dinner is included before returning to Colonial Williamsburg to witness the Grand Illumination, a spectacular evening as the fifes and drums play, candles twinkle in the windows of the historic area homes, fatwood crackles in the street-side fires, and the heavens explode with fireworks! Day 3 – Williamsburg, VA to Clark, PA
Enjoy another included breakfast before we depart for Clark, PA. We check into Tara-A Country Inn for a 1 night stay. Upon arrival we enjoy a tour of the hotel before being treated to a cup of tea by a hostess in an antebellum gown. Built in 1854, the same era as its fictional counterpart,; Tara: A Country Inn was once the private home of Charles Koonce, a senator who made his fortune in coal and real estate. Current innkeepers, Donna and Jim Winter, passionate Gone with the Wind historians, scoured the South for their own Tara, but found it in the North. In 1986, after 2 years of restoration, they created Tara and opened the inn with the Winner’s personal collection of fine antiques. A prize acquisition that’s on display is the robe that actress Vivien Leigh wore during the honeymoon scene in the movie version. This evening enjoy a fabulous dinner at Donna’s Diner. (B, D)
Day 4 – TARA Sights and Depart for Cleveland, OH
After a breakfast buffet at the Inn, we depart for Indiana, Pennsylvania, the birthplace of Jimmy Stewart and a visit to the Jimmy Stewart Museum. The museum highlights its namesake’s accomplishments in film, radio and TV. Afterwards, depart for Cleveland and our final night. We check into the new Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown. Enjoy Drury’s KICKBACK featuring a menu of fresh, hot food and beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks. After dinner sit back and enjoy a tour of the spectacular Christmas light displays in the Cleveland area. (B, D)
Day 5 – Cleveland – Medina – Springfield, OH
Following a hearty breakfast we depart for another fun filled day of Christmas excitement. Just 5 minutes from downtown Cleveland in the Tremont neighborhood we will visit the Christmas Story house. Relive “A Christmas Story” at Ralphie’s house and the Christmas Story House Museum which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind –the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee’s window, Randy’s snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shield’s classroom and the family car. We will have time to explore the museum gift shop where you can purchase great movie memorabilia or even your own Major Award leg lamp! Afterwards we make our way south into Medina, Ohio for yet another great Christmas attraction, Castle Noel. America’s largest indoor year-round Christmas entertainment attraction. Directly from Hollywood, you will see the entire Movieland prop and costume collection featuring items from The “Grinch”, “Elf”, “Santa Claus”, “Christmas with the Kranks,” “Jingle all the Way,” and more! Following our visit we will enjoy an included lunch at a local establishment. Afterwards, journey home filled with the holiday spirit. (B, L)

All those purchasing a USS tour must have a current United Senior Services Membership. This policy was established to insure fairness and consistency with our members.
100% of the tour cost will be refunded on all cancellations made prior to final payment date. Cancellations made after final payment date are subject to cancellation fees assessed by airlines, hotels, attractions and ground operators if insurance is not purchased.
