Our History

Founded in 1968 as Elderly United, the State of Ohio has designated USS as the focal point for older adults in Clark County for 54 years.

The founders of USS instilled a deep and profound culture of honoring and caring for older adults that endures still. It is a mission that resonates more today than our founders could have imagined.

Our Legacy

At USS, you matter most. Our members. Our clients. Our staff and community partners. Meeting the needs of older adults will always be our first priority. When support is needed most, USS will always be there. As the percentage of seniors continues to grow, from 31% this year to a projected 39% by 2030, USS will be prepared – today, tomorrow and for many years to come – to meet the opportunities and challenges future generations of older adults in our community will surely face.

We would love to talk with you! Discover purpose, discover balance, and discover USS today!
